Tilesafe is a bitumen-based tanking membrane for waterproofing shower zones etc.
The product is probably one of the best tanking membranes available for use in wetroom applications as it provides a thick industrial strength impermeable barrier to any water that may escape beneath the tiles.
The membrane is self-adhesive and comes on a roll. Once installed tiles can be applied immediately - there is no curing time. Although particularly suited to floor applications Tilesafe can also be applied to walls as an additional precaution. However, there is a maximum weight limit for wall mounted tiles when using Tilesafe and this should not exceed 20kg/m2
